Rideshare services are required 24/7 and a fulltime rideshare driver uses the car only for 40 hours out of the 168 hours in a week.  Even if the driver uses the car 20 more hours for personal use, it is still 60% of the time idle. The vehicle is costing the driver about 50% of their earnings and reducing the take home income. Sharing the car between drivers is the best way to optimally use the car and reduce the expenses which in turn increase the income.  

Using rental car app, the drivers can pool the cars locally and use it optimally to enhance their income by renting cars for the idle time.  

Understanding rental car business for rideshare.

Many rental companies have tied up with the Uber/Lyft to provide rental cars to the drivers.   Each driver is individually owning the car or renting it weekly at high rate.  Regardless of owning or renting, the cost is 50% of driver’s income or 25% of rider fare.   This is counter productive for drivers and wasting precious resource. RSD Network will facilitate pooling of vehicles locally and through the car rental app, the drivers will be able to share the vehicle for optimal use. 

Getting Started:

Embarking on this initiative requires the rental car management system and app and RSD Network has partnered with the rental car app providers and facilitate seamless renting of cars among drivers.

Our collective responsibility is to participate in this program by paying a basic fee to create a robust group. This united front will enable us to achieve significant cost savings, redirecting funds from individual use of car and sharing the car and increasing the income of the drivers.
